Dead Mans Dream

A DEAD MANS DREAM

To live,    and dream,   to transcend the fabric of time itself,  and  drift as a butterfly would,  on a sweet scented cosmic cloud of laughter and tear drops

To dream once again as a child of god,    dancing through the milky-way forever young,  or flash between live’s “ past and present” like  the twinkling light from a distant star,

To  re-live the happy times with family and friends, long gone and past

What joy I would take, to once again suffer the daily grind of mankind’s earthy load ,  to awaken to the painful thongs of lives mortal banner.

Ah. But not for me

I  look for my cold stony bed,  to hear the graveyards  whistling song.

Ohhhh...this is mesmerizing...

This poem is so beautiful... And enthralling... You have a magnetic way about you I love the words you end the poem with: "Ah. But not for me I look for my cold stony bed, to hear the graveyards whistling song." I love it! Raven
