Anna !Come Down Again


Anna !Come Down Again

Anna! come down to this earth

We are eager to welcome you as our King

Your Tamil has raised us as so gentle

Your ruling has paved a way to a golden rule

Here there are many selfish parties ruling us

Come Down Anna! to put an end for all

Poverty and price hikes are their rewards and

Violence, atrocities are their way

To change this land as heaven

Come down Anna! In this earth

We are eager to welcome you as our King

You are the eldest  son of my Tamil

to get her heart cool and glee

Come down Anna! To this earth

to smash all our barriers and grieves

We are eager to welcome you as our King

Hi

I read this and liked it but if Anna is female would she not be queen? I have to say, I loved your use of words and it had a touch of sadness and the pleading for Anna to come down, was heartfelt. Sorry I have not understood for whom you write, so it would be nice to enlighten a little on the context. Thank you for sharing. Lyz

Sorry for this little confusion I have made it in this Poem C N Annadurai was his full name.who servved for our state and also to our language forgive for this SAKTHEEE

Your comment at the end, made it clear to me that Anna isn't a female, but you must understand that here in the west, it is a feminine name. Is it common for people of your culture to shorten his name to that length? maybe you could put another syllable on it, so that we who are unenlightened to this aspect, could read what is a great write without wondering why [she] is referred to as a [king] instead of a queen? Gee.

No Need To Be..

No need to be sorry, I was just letting you know that it was something that confused some poeple. Even though you let poeple know that it was male, in your final comment. I was only confused until I read the final word at the bottom of the poem. I liked your poem and it was of little consequence. It just goes to show that very few people read the final word. Nice job, Sakkkkkk. ~ Gee.
