O

Sweet velvet glimpse

Precious is the dark horse denizen
pawing on nocturnes restless
while

slack is the taute hope of leather
dewed with effort
thick is the smoke of the lamp
gleaming like a tawdry grin

I want you to join in
stretch straining muscle
rich are the layers
on carriage comfort

you draw drawl
and glistening teeth
reveal behind red welcome

thick lashed eye
with blinker card
starts

on greased wheel glide
pale gift
that drifts inside

so sensual, sensitive and hands-on

You dark horse you, indeed you are as you hide yourself behind your leather belted poem and yet we feel your presence intensified by your poetry; your ever keen eye picking out the details of each and every object that moves or lies static, all are perused and even the most mundane given place, given the expressions of its innermost appeal. You are a haptic artist, with a gift that is so sensual, sensitive and hands-on that contact is inevitable as we see, read and FEEL your words through the rows of letters, they reach out and shout their presence, the big, the little, the most often overlooked things of this world. Always in awe of your art of word painting dear Orgami, Ann. "thick is the smoke of the lamp
gleaming like a tawdry grin" just this detail I love, the smoke grinning wonderful!

Dear orgami,

A very nice love poem using linked metaphors connected to the west or horse culture. I particularly love the second stanza. Brian

I can't

I cannot be objective judging your poetry. rich are the layers on carriage comfort you draw drawl/and glis"tening teeth reveal behind red welcome." Ahh. It is my favorite genre: undiluted surrealism, images aflow in the magenta donkey's mouth drooling ice semen. If you released a book, I'd buy five extra copies as well as the original. Please do. GB
