Hidden

Doesn’t matter, it never did.
It's all the same, nothing ever changes.
I'll be here laughing as you all walk away because your only 1 page of my life of many.
But that doesn't mean I won't miss you, Maybe I wish you'd stay but nothing ever does.
so I'll just keep it all hidden.
But that doesn't mean that you were nothing to me, it doesn't mean I don't care.
As you all walk away and fade in time I'll be laughing, but I'll be wishing inside you were still here.
Maybe it was my fault in the first place, that’s why you all walked away.
But as you did I laughed to cover up that I'd wish you'd stay.
I guess it's just better this way.

Hi Reichley...

I like the sentiment your poem offers, but it needs some work to more as affective to the reader as it is to you personally. For one thing, there is too much repetition... walking away, laughing, all strong emotive images but could be accomplished with other words so as to not be repetitive and still carry the poem and the reader through with a certain flair. The other thing is the format, and it might could stand some punctuation to indicate the places where you stop, pause for affect. Read it aloud, then indicate your read by the way you write it down so as to allow the reader to catch your voice. Another thing, for me, the title is too long and could be more affective if it were something other than a line directly from the work, something shorter but still relative. first line problem... Doesn't matter ever did (never) Doesn't matter, never did. merely suggestions from one old man Richard
