Burlesque Valentine

In need of a friend I came to you.

not a lover, a willing comrade.

No kisses, no hugs, just an ear,

with fervor unnoticed, a blockade.

My fantasy, my delusion rapt me,

snivelling, crushed in fairyland.

An accidental touch from you,

feelings of arousal summoned.

If minds could meld, you’d have seen,

I was solely trapped in the anecdote.

Head to the side, sneaking a glance,

a reverie I see, and sugarcoat.

Looking back, I don’t feel repentant,

it was an epoch when love was plausible.

In the land of fairies, I transport to dream,

where being your Valentine’s possible.

Epoch...

Yes time! It's what the world existed / exists on. It's what we do with past events, present and our future that maps our lives. Thank you for great comments. Rosina xena465

Touching and memorable!

A tasteful telling of a timeless tale! I've had a few of "Those" type of episodes in my life as well, and will never quite forget them! I really enjoyed this!

So very well expressed here. Bravo Rosina,

Ann of Norway Oh this has a quality of 'je ne sais quoi' so very well put into words you are able to do so as it wasn't yesterday, but moments we probably all have experienced where the gentle touch can awaken a whole world of feelings and from there, CAN develop into friendship or more, so very well expressed here. Bravo Rosina, definitely special this one. You keep your dreams Rosina. Love Ann
