Love, Pain, and Memories.

Love is only pain,

Pain is only memories

Memories are forgotten.

Hidden down inside.

Never to come out.

Our hearts remember.

The pain and sorrow.

Our minds forget.

Locked inside the nothingness.

I don’t mean to be

I don't mean to be cruel. I really am not comfortable in critiquing anyones writes. Skye... "Memories are forgotten"..?? One does not forget memories. That's why they are memories .. I get what you are trying to say. You need to re-work this... I look foward to the rewrite.

Thanks but no thanks

I will not change my poem because you don't understand. Indi is right and memories are forgotten if you push them down so far that you forget.

Memories

Well, skye, memories are felt out until the feelings fade then they go in storage until it is a need that we recall but the feeling once attached to them is ususally almost gone or in fact gone. This process of memories is normal, Skye. With deep respect, Mark "I do not walk the earth and eat out of dumpsters, I'm not a bum, I'm beat." P.S Is this poem about alziemers or depression or both? Like indi says in a way some poetry can be a bit unclear (some very).

LOL! good point

LOL! good point Darknlovely.. Jetz, i think Skye was trying to convey that it is the memory of the pain that is forgotten (if one truly decides to)..the problem is, it is not that easy to forget a pain inflicted to you, specially from someone we loved. "The mind may forget (due to Alzheimer's!), but the heart will always remember." ..overall, love this piece Skye..i love reading it over and over, (for me) no need to re-write (but still your choice)..

Thanks Alone

I see that you like my work. But one question......What is so funny??

…its not the poem, Jetz

...its not the poem, Jetz was asking how a memory would be forgotten (i was thinking of an explanation for the possibility of that), when I read Darknlovely's clever answer.. :) so i just put the two together.. although I'm not laughing at the desease..

I never left a comment with

I never left a comment with the intent of upsetting you. Indi has his opinion, I have mine...Because he is of the same opinion as you....he's right? I'm wrong? Skye...I get the poem...I just feel the words, as they stand now....are confusing...ambiguous. A few changes could clear it all up, for all of us that are poetically challenged. Just my opinion...if you don't agree.... no problem. Peace. Sue

Dear Skye, I read this poem again..(skipping others comments)..it reminds me of a movie, "The Notebook" can't remember the actors! ..but i do hope you've watched it. it's a love story! ..like your poem, it is emotionally sad and in reality true...

The last line

To cage anything especially an emotion is a bad thing. But to look and see is a beginning of setting it free. What else is there to do but blow up with the anger or implode ignoring it. Truly, Mark Resilient Flexibility
