My Uncle Vinny

It was one of those days for Vinny.

He decided to go on a hunting jaunt.

While chatting to one of the locals, she’d said,

`Lets get the Hell outa this haunt`.

Fumbling with his trousers, he asked,

`Do you like my swanky outfit`?

She stops, shakes her head, thinking;

`Is he on some kind of shit`?

She answered with a story,

a tale of a baby deer in a wood.

Full of the joys of spring it was,

dancing merrily in Blackwood.

It saunters towards a stream,

sticks its pink tongue out for a sip.

Vinny wonders, `What crap is this`,

eager to tell her to button her lip?

Suddenly she shouts, “BANG”,

nearly sending him loopy.

Wondering what the heck she’s on about?

He listens to the rest of the story.

While the faun was licking the water,

You blew him away with a shot.

Does the deer really care when it’s dying,

Whether you look swanky or not?

bang went their relationship!

Ann of Norway Reminds me of Pheobe in 'Friends' who on moving in with the policeman was awakened by him shooting an innocent bird outside the window, bang went their relationship! And it would with mine too. An old school comrade invited me to stay on her farm and the husband shot several birds out of his windows, I couldn't get away fast enough. Love to you with your little tale so nicely dramatic Rosina, Ann.

Dear Rosina

I just glanced down as I scrolled down to comment ... I received a bizarre request today FROM Troy lmao and now it all makes perfect sense ... dwarfing throwing poem lol I dont feel like being lynched this week ill save that for the next I have to decline on the grounds troy I am six foot tall and it might not look so good for a tall poet to be writing funnies about dwarves lol I would say lynching would be the least of my worries lmao anyway to your poem rosina lol ... there is a couple of spots in the first verse you could smooth the flow with changing a few words around ... I have time tomorrow will do an edit if you would like to show you what I mean its 1.30am right now and editing with blurry eyes dont mix lol love and hugs Jayne-Chloe x x x

That's just Troy being his usual mischievous self. I wouldn't mind some help from you if you get time tomorrow. I'm not posting any more poems for a few days. I'm trying to write something different. I have been struggling trying to write in another way...just for a wee change from the norm. Rosina xena465

Poor Vinnie in his new spiffies. Killed that idea dead lol A poor dear wiped out the front of my Buick. Are dear really dangerous? Or cars? Not sure but after seeing the pieces, well it's been a year now and I still do not drive (for other reasons as well) Leave the poor aminals alone I say.. I enjoyed reading this over many times Rosina, Mark FlexAbilities

Oh you’re so very kind

Oh you're so very kind Mark. Ta so much. I'm totally against hunting animals of any kind, even the killing of rats, although I know it needs to be done for health reasons sometimes. I have a pet rat so I know how intelligent and loving they can be. My Zak is more like a cat than a rat and he's my baby. Rosina xena465

Dear Xena:

Your poem reminds me of the movie "Powder", where somebody kills a deer for simple, evil pleasure. The fact that your poem is liked or not doesn't make it bad. It's really special, and I agree with the contents and the great message it provides. Five stars and a nomination! Sincerely, Hugo
