Silent suicide
Tonight
I've made up my mind
With thoughts so unkind
I'm outta here
I'll take
Private initiation
Of inebriation
And you can cheer
You can put the flags out
Can dance and shout
I'll exit stage right
You can pop the champagne
And cheer again and again
I'm out of your sight
At last
You'll hear me no more
What you've waited for
I'll slip away
No more
Treacle sickly words from me
Or wearing my heart on my sleeve
Your sanity is saved
You can hang up the bunting
Musicians can start trumpeting
No need to hide
I don't even need the manners
To acknowledge your banners
With my silent suicide
I've made up my mind
With thoughts so unkind
I'm outta here
I'll take
Private initiation
Of inebriation
And you can cheer
You can put the flags out
Can dance and shout
I'll exit stage right
You can pop the champagne
And cheer again and again
I'm out of your sight
At last
You'll hear me no more
What you've waited for
I'll slip away
No more
Treacle sickly words from me
Or wearing my heart on my sleeve
Your sanity is saved
You can hang up the bunting
Musicians can start trumpeting
No need to hide
I don't even need the manners
To acknowledge your banners
With my silent suicide
