Overcast
The waves draw near
As I look down to the amber sand
Through the water I see a face
of whom I cannot place
The oncoming surge brings to me a voice
and all is washed away
The wind is almost here
As I look up to the overcast
In the clouds I see a shape
If only my words could just escape
The racing winds deliver a whisper
and all is left a blur
The sun bursts through the overcast
As the winds retreat
the waves become discrete
From the water emerges a pair of feet
The sun blocks out his face
and at once I look back down to the ground
His plethora of greatness
And the ambiance of his beach
Leaves me breathless and stiff
With every single whiff
Unable to look up, I imagine a face
that if I walked by faith and not by sight
receive a quick glance I simply might
As I look down to the amber sand
Through the water I see a face
of whom I cannot place
The oncoming surge brings to me a voice
and all is washed away
The wind is almost here
As I look up to the overcast
In the clouds I see a shape
If only my words could just escape
The racing winds deliver a whisper
and all is left a blur
The sun bursts through the overcast
As the winds retreat
the waves become discrete
From the water emerges a pair of feet
The sun blocks out his face
and at once I look back down to the ground
His plethora of greatness
And the ambiance of his beach
Leaves me breathless and stiff
With every single whiff
Unable to look up, I imagine a face
that if I walked by faith and not by sight
receive a quick glance I simply might
