An Ode to Apollo---Warning:May cause laughter or confusion

Oh god of the sun,
See how they run,
Your chariot is coming,
Out of the sky it's slumming,
You lost your head,
It was under your bed,
Driving was your duty,
You had better move your booty,
"Too late!" the people shout,
"Come on, let's get out"
You tried too drive,
I saw you struggle and strive,
You got control,
But they put you on parole,
You burnt our barn,
When you heard you said,"Sorry, darn!"
The barn was fixed,
But you were eighty sixed,
All because you lost your head,
It's oh so lonely, still under your bed.

Appollo on Parole...

What a great way to start my day! This is so much fun to read... especially out loud. Thank you... I thoroughly enjoyed it. Gentle regards, Raven-Shakti "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." -Sebastien-Roch Nicholas Chamfort (1740/41-94) France

Yeah, I just thought it fit the bill lol...

Wow, thanks! When I wrote I was obsessing over the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Thalia actually burned the barn but I didn't think it mattered, after all, Apollo did let her behind the wheel of the sun chariot lolol. Cool, I'm glad you liked it.
