I looked to see

if the line breaks could have been done differently for better impact. Nope. Pith, pith. Ironically, despite all the forward-speaking, there's a lot of backward-looking.

Where the past and the

Where the past and the future meet, there is the present. Eh? Pithy has a differently distinctive feel than pity. ~A "Just as what you dream is your own and no one else can observe it, so the world you see is your own." ~ Nisargadatta

...u have said it all Now I know It will take centuries, If not many a millennium, To reach the barbed wired Surroundings of the periphery, Where you stand commemorating To time Your indelible poetry... But do let me read, If not directly, But at least your poetic thoughts, As a reflection In the oasis of time, As I thirst for words, As come So naturally to thee

Well, since the starring and spotlighting options are still in play, I'm using them both here. Chuck: simple, elegant, underplayed, wise As Eric/Ephraim might say: excellent write Thanks for weighing in---and in your usual unobtrusive manner.

We are here to help each other in whatever way we can.

Ann of Norway We are here to help each other in whatever way we personally feel we can, what more is there to it, future, past, present, all are in some ways irrelevant; its always NOW one comments and NOW that matters in life at all. If you are referring to things unpleasant, then that is the fault of those who created unpleasantness, they are not really wanted here, as hopefully we all wish each other well and wish that we can be better the longer we are here together, I have written to my friends on my latest poem and that is my opinion of Neopoets; that's all! Love to Neopoets long may she/he be a good workshop for new poets. And of course to you Chuck who wrote this poem, a question here answered.

Indeed very well said

I am in total agreement with this poet here who not only speaks of truth but does it in a way that does not deflate someone to an ant. As far as people not wanted here I am hoping that all have come here to write and not to make fools out of theirselves. If this is their intent then there are so many places on the net and there is always aim or yahoo instant message if they want to carry on back and forth the way it is done in here. Comments I see vere off to the never never land without even focusing on the poem or subject at hand. I am guilty of entertaining this type of behavior myself earlier on and found out that it is not for me to concentrate with any longer. I love to write and listen and learn and read all there is out here. We are writers all of us for the most part and acceptance or nonacceptance of one does not make us any better then them either. That is exactly why Chuck says it in his facts, to click and keep clicking. It is a fact you can get yourself wrapped up too tight and want to continuously counter attack comments but it does Neopoet no good or it's members to constantly have to read it when you go to a friends page. I am voting for a moderator in here as I think that is what is needed, Better yet a mediator to come between some folks who continue to use the instant message mentality and do not know when enough childish behavior should be put to rest. After all that is what chat is about is it not? Sorry Chuck I guess Ms Mona on a little roll today, off to coffee and work around the house, no rest for the restless:) Peace Instilled Mona
