Take My Hand
The computer screen flickers as he blinks away tears,
he swallows a lump, attempting to suffocate his fears.
He can’t get passed them as visions flash in his mind,
succeeding in keeping him bound and confined.
Silently he screams, writhing in pain,
it’s a constant battle just to stay sane.
He claws and rips, trying to escape.
he can’t get away from this demonic rape.
Someone walks in and he smiles a greeting,
they are completely blind to his inner pleading.
With his mask in place, his costume appears,
Read the rest of the poem Show less
carefully hiding his invisible tears.
Nobody can save him, this hell is his doom;
He concedes to this fate, again alone in his room.
But you can be saved, just reach out your hand;
I won’t push you away, please understand.
I love you so much, and if you let me I’ll help.
I can’t claim to know all the pain that you’ve felt.
But I promise not to be blind to the tears that you’ve bled,
and, if I can, I’ll hold you as you cry on your bed.
I’ll wipe away your tears and comfort your woes;
I’ll never shatter this Crystal rose.
So take my hand, and end this fight.
It’s senseless to battle with all of your might.
Let me in and I’ll always be your friend,
I’ll love you forever, till the very end.
