About Me
About me
I'm a young writer (17) who is currently studying their AS and A-levels, I am taking up English Literature, A-level Business and Hospitality.
I'm from Northern Ireland, County Tyrone. I am joining this community as i wish to grow my poetry, get extensive feedback and general help on how to improve, and I am wanting to show my poetry to a wider audience. I have not shared my work previously as I have been nervous about how people may react to it, but I want to outgrow this mentality and simply be happy with my work no matter the criticism. I do not write in any specific genre and usually my work will lead back to how I am feeling about certain people, my views on them or my outlook on life. However I say that I do not write specific genres because I know what I write about could change suddenly.

Favorite Poets
My top three favourite poets are:
Leeza Jade- she is a small poet i came across on instagram. I ordered her book a while ago and finished it within a few hours. Her work was deep yet simple and I fell absolutely in love with her poetry.
Star- I discovered their work a while ago and their work has inspired me
and to improve on my poem Pathetic Fallacy. They are also a growing poet and have 500 followers on instagram
but they are just as deserving of attention and admiration for their work as any other large poet.
Mary Shelley- While I am aware that she is not a poet
and I was not a big fan of Frankenstein
the story of her life continues to inspire me each day. It is one that is not easily forgotten and I have the utmost admiration for her drive to write despite the amount of grief she had felt within her life. Her life shows how it is okay to dramatise your writing
to bring it back and to write your own stories in a way that shows the world your strength within words.
