Adultery

I’m surprised you imagine
I’m to blame in any way
It’s in the job description
It’s part of our DNA
A forger creates forgery
A robber commits robbery
A sorcerer practises sorcery
A mocker makes a mockery
So, love, it’s not my fault
You should be more adult

Adultery

Hello, Ray,
So glad you didn't leave and deny us this seedy poem with attitude. It's like a fool gloating in his own foolery. It snaps and leaves me laughing, even though I don't want to, with its snide tone. Great final line seething with manipulation. Well done.
Thank you,
L

Sarcastic...

and snide. Yes, I imagine we all know someone like this; and while we may not like his/her behavior, the lines are funny, and we do have a feeling for the human frailty. We imagine that we should have enough willpower to avoid the pitfall of temptation, but we are never entirely sure. What if? Nicely done, ~ Geez.

Thanks all.

Strange term, Adultery, doesn't do what it says on the label. As noted, we've all known someone like this, self-serving, manipulative.
