another letter from Home

I feel your hopeless, endless grieving
and both our journeys you impede
there's reason in your remaining quick
and now, I with you, gently plead
to forgive me, let me go, allow me
move on and do what I have to do
my purpose over there is finished
apart, that is, from my love for you

it makes no difference where we are
love doesn't leave, or even change
when happens any separation
there’s nought to have to re-arrange
for love is far beyond eternal
never, ever will it fade
it twines and binds and forms the base
of the colourful tapestry we have made

our memories are linked in this
weaved into Akasha of evermore
until forever’s final midnight
we are together on perception’s shore
.

About This Poem

Review Request Intensity: I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back

Editing Stage: Editing - draft

About the Author

Region, Country: Western Australia, AUS

Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

Judy!

I was just scrolling down and this piece stopped me in my tracks!
Sounds like lines coming out of a current movie... who should we cast as the main protagonists?
Relevant, up to the minute depiction of a love that must move on!
Nice one!

The great tapestries of love

The great tapestries of love hang on your walls and their warm presence soothes and satisfies your thoughts each day and forever more; yes so true if the love is real and felt it never leaves whatever tries to crush or stamp on it, it survives all blows with its constancy and wondrous power, it is what makes this life a joy, and full of happiness we step into the next day strong.

Very nice judyanne, I see, I hear, I feel what you mean exactly, and understand.

WHY I READ YOU ALL

Each one on this old,
Now new neopoet
Is a classic
I learn from the very core
That each one of you reveals
From the fathoms
Of your hearts!

How I wish I too had
Such a fathomless heart,
As love sinks deep
In each poem I read
My mind does plead
Oh Loved
When wilt thou accomplish
Such a deed
I wonder and shudder
That’s all indeed.

Your poetries are jewels
Strewn across the Internet
I have by now fully screened
But nothing comes in-between
Neopoet and betwixt us all
That’s all
What I really mean.

I'm slowly editing my old works

(Trying not do do so too often as not too fill up the stream)

So when I came to this, I found your comment I'd missed responding to.
Thanks loved
