Arborism and Therapy Arent That Different
branches on trees grow as independent systems.
it can be useful to view them as competing with eachother
but nevertheless striving to send sap to the same roots
at one time in a tree's life,
it can be beneficial for a branch to wrap around the trunk.
in striving for light, you traverse circuitous paths
after all, trees cant tell the future,
and neither can we.
as the tree grows
the persevering part, the struggling branch,
in the movement caused by wind and storms
begins to rub against the trunk.
to create open wounds where disease can enter the tree
it was just trying to survive,
but now it begins to strangle the tree
and it will kill the tree if it isnt pruned off
leaving room for new growth in the space it leaves

This is...
something I would probably see on the wall of a therapist's office. Thought provoking and interesting, yet not something that shows the skill I think you have in abundance. I think that you can do better. ~ Geez.

hello Marge,
I'm very sorry, but I cant relate to what you have written. it seems to me to be mostly imagery.

parts therapy i guess. kind
parts therapy i guess. kind of the idea of how certain behaviors and tendencies are developed in a traumatic childhood, that dont quite work for ones benefit later on. ill have to work on putting that in there more explicitly
