August Pandemic Contest edited
assasin
single minded destroyer
set on one goal.
odious lurker
going out of control.
fiendish flayer
who cares not the price
as the ignorant take chances
with each roll of the dice.
self-important fools
taking their pleasure
at great cost to others
they have taken the measure.
flaunting their arrogance
so many will perish,
the ones who came before
they who should be cherished.
let this be a warning
in public, wear your mask
or let your conscience
take you to task.

Hi Cat
reminded me of the voice of a young woman who said i lost my dad who was 65 but healthy...his only preexisting condition was believing in Trump....when I vote by Biden i shall be voting for him...

many people are very selfish and self-centered.
it is a terrible shame. we all live on this planet and should be considerate of others. thanks, Teddy! you've a good heart and mind.

Hi Cat, well said. Mostly it
Hi Cat, well said. Mostly it's younger people who flaunt the protocols. The average age of contagion is now around 36, though the deaths are of older people, the disabled or children. It's easy to wear a mask where I live, the weather is cold, so I use a thick scarf. We can walk outside in our small neighbourhood.
Well said, perfect poem for the pandemic contest.
Take care! Gracy

hello Gracy
thank you so much for reading and commenting. where I live, in Wisconsin, it has gotten to the point that they won't let them without masks into the stores...which in my opinion is a blessing. you take good care of yourself, okay?
