Bewitched

From that cool glade beyond,
where nymphs trace curves
on the surface of serene ponds
I dream of you.
Autum fled, June’s clouded Moon.
I grow old. I might lose my way
among sensuous forms of noon
that transcend both you and me.
I might chase moonbeams
beckoning from peaks of mountains.
The essence of my life might be a dream.

I shall drink only from your fountain,
one day it will lead me to the ocean.
I’ll sing to you with exalted heart,
pursue your teasing lips, impulsive feet,
set the whole universe in motion.
Until Evening Star departs,
I shall rest on the banks of this mossy creek.

Hello Jerry, thank you for

Hello Jerry, thank you for your kind comments. I agree with you about the death dream theory, well said!
It's nearly my bedtime now, so I'll return for another read tomorrow.

I have a deep sense of gratitude ma'am

You have the inborn seed
which your difficult life within you remains concealed
as the love of Argentine flourishes from within
Creepers of poetry seed
then your heart with emotion does weep
we can't either sleep

May the world derive benefit
from the fruits of your poetry
you are the seed
we'd love to from breed

Ma'am Gracy believe me
the world needs your emotions
do share with all as and when

As you wished to dance with this oldie
may you dream a poem from far away Argentine
a land
FAR AWAY AND LONG AGO
in school I’d dreamed

Dear L, I love it when you

Dear L, I love it when you answer with a poem of your own. I enjoy it more than my own...LOL.
I'll certainly dance with you, ma'am. I'm far away, but maybe I'll dream about it.
Oh, Far Away and Long Ago, a wonderful book. Did you read it?
I'll come back for another read, it's nearly my bedtime.
Best wishes and thanks for your always welcome visit, Gracy
