Birds Eye View
It was from above
That I viewed myself
Lying still without a breath
Watching parents and family
In fear
Doctors prodded and probed
And pumped my heart
And pushed air into my lungs
To try to bring me back to
Life
I saw the bright light that many have cited
I Moved to stand
in the warm light of heaven
Seeking answers
Regarding my future days
I looked down again
And saw my wife
Praying with her beads in hand
Asking that I be spared
I simply watched
From far above
What looked like seeing through
A small but very
Clear funnel
The brightness began to dim
I could begin to focus
On my newly returned breath
And smile to those I love
Happy to be back

A view...
not unlike many described by those who have stood upon that mountain looking down. I wonder why it should be an experience so much like the many around the world, through so many different cultures? Maybe because there is some truth to it? I see nothing to change, except to maybe add a bit of backstory about how one came to be in such a state. Don't get me wrong, it seems complete as it is, I just wondered what transpired in the beginning to put one there? ~ Geezer.
