The Blue in You
I’ve fallen in love with blue.
For a time, I never sought it’s cold hue.
I would avoid it, ignoring the solemn view.
How could I despise such a thing so deep?
Perhaps it was the times I would only weep.
But I alone, couldn’t reverse the damage,
That is until you, alone, could manage.
One late night, a phone and a call.
Was all it took, to eventually befall,
Upon me, a state of fear.
Or admiration?
It was too unclear.
But it all began to make sense to me,
The moment my eyes had opened to see,
Beyond those bright blue lenses, the key.
Unlocking all feelings, now set free.
I no longer feel the sense of loneliness in blue,
But rather an understanding, in the absence of you
For the sense and honour of feeling blue,
Must mean that my feelings for you are true.
Avoid such depth? Ignore the view?
No, in fact I seek its lush hue.
With this, i’ve learned to love the blue.
Maybe I will learn to express, to pursue.
Maybe you too will feel the blue,
And come to understand,
I’ve fallen in love with you.
About This Poem
Last Few Words: This is about a guy that i’ve been talking to for a while, i reaaaalllyyy like him. Thing is, i was talking to this other guy before, and his favourite colour was blue, and after him i never looked at blue the same. But this new guy also likes blue, and he has the prettiest blue eyes i’ve ever seen. Basically, he’s changed my perspective on the colour. If you go to my profile, you’ll see i’ve uploaded another version of the colour blue, idk it’s pretty interesting.

This will sound weird
But this piece made me think the blue hue of the sea?
I may be off about the hue itself, but it was lovely to read.
I want to read more of your work. Thank you for this.
