Born to love

Bryan Adams "everything I do " is now playing
Who needs Spotify when there is iTunes
Listening to iTunes Radio through my headphones
Keeps my depressed state in my bowels
I won't run away with the winds of my mind.

Some got it good
Able to move about with a clear mind
Not confused by the stormy winds of life
Trouble come to visit and never leave
Between two people hoping for a better way.

A better day is so far away
I'll never be able to get there on my own
We are the world
Why can't we just make the world a better place
Everybody agape each other.

Let's put aside the racism
Take the hand of your fellow man
Put your arms around your fellow girl
Care for each other babies
Make the world a better place to live.

I like this
a perfect opening stanza, and a great message too. The last line speaks volumes to everyone I believe.
Nothing I can see needs to improve.
Thank you for sharing dear.
Have a great day!

Thanks for the words. I am bored and need a vacation. Since that's not possible right now writing this is the next best. Came like a slow but steady river. I'm glad you like it.

Having been through

a long depression I can identify with this poem. Some of the language reminds me of the lyrics of blues songs, which I generally love. It is also nice and clear, which is a quality I admire both in poetry and prose.
Best wishes,
Robert.

Oh my. I write 9 + a day from time to time but I only submit one or two. I saved them on my computer and thumb drives over the years. Just writing make me feel better or calm me down so I can move on. Sharing one or two here and poetrysoup.

I as you, sit listening to music when at the computer it gets rid of most other noises except the TV that is up a little too loud,
I have a small selection of songs on mine from Pussycat that I remember from the 70's to Hawaiian music, Dan Hill for memories of a long time past, and a few others to lull me into one mood or another.
A good them and as usual the write was good, about time for another addition to the stream of Japanese writings???
Go well young Lady and keep well, Yours Ian.T

I send to you healings of the children to bring you that quiet peace you need, it will come to you on the wings of the monarch butterfly, to scatter beige powder of the evenings shadows for your sleep, and the motion of their wings to float your dreams.
They will also bring you healing that will seep into your soul as a melody drifting across that mighty river, drawing energy from all the lands it passes through.
Then the hand of your belief will reach out and let you rest, as the children know the things you need, I shall keep a place of rest for you, where unconditional love seeks us out and heals all ills, Take care young lady, will talk to you soon, Yours Ian.T xx

The saying came from the children that look after me and all those that they touch with think.
I look forward to another Renga, it would be good to write of feelings not soppy ones but ones that flow as the deepest river reaching out for its destination the Ocean,

Thanks again I'm getting better. Hope this lapse into depression fades sooner. I'm getting there. Been writing poetry like crazy for the last few hours. I'm staring to wind down. ;) I hope

Hi Barbara

Hope you are feeling better by the day. Good to know you use poetry as a medium or therapy to keep your mind occupied...

we all wish that there is no racial or any other types of discrimination...yet it will take some doping..reminds me of a line "God made life simple,we complicate it" isn't that true?...

Warm regards...
