Breakfast Fix...

It was coming in the window
as I lay in bed
The breeze passed by, you know
It went right past my head

My nose; connected to my face
caught delicious smells
My brain began to race
ringing breakfast-bells

What was that scent divine?
Eggs and toast and ham?
I want the same for mine
For it's hungry, that I am

Wait! Left-over steak
from the night before
I've got some eggs to break
Ketchup packets by the score

The pan is getting hot
Some butter and some shrooms
A little hot sauce... just a shot
The scent of onion fills the room

Whip the eggs and blend the milk
find a little cheese
Make it smooth as silk
Black pepper makes me sneeze

Garlic, fold the eggs... a wrap!
the steak is all a sizzle
The toast is popping up
Honey in a drizzle

Coffee hot and tasty,
cream to smooth it out
To finish, Danish-pastry
I'm in Heaven! Want to shout!
