C O G N I T I O N

there is a dream in my window
stirring in the frost corner
there is a cloak of wonder
waiting on my door

at the touch
the craze that humble
rises

I feel the wear like wings
healed
I hoard the words
that echo in the empty
chamber

and stitch holes where
blackness flew
and scarred the night
like bleeding comets
between our common-health

how the distance
the distance great
smoulders like a beam
borne bridge

and I taste your love
and I taste your hate

and time worries
like ghosts in the glass
the mirror haunted
free at last

Time...

is a great divider. It is sometimes immeasurable, and alters distance. Sometimes shortening, and sometimes making the distance seem longer. We are all affected by time, and we cannot control time. It just is. My favorite lines here: "And time worries
like ghosts in the glass
the mirror haunted
free at last."
So good to see you writing. "I taste your love, I taste your hate."

Steven with the old cloak

This is one to be experienced differently by each person in relation to the items and senses mentioned, these objects of perusal in varied directions make a strange whole that is disturbing and pleasing, we react but are left unfulfilled.

These lines excited my imagination:-

"there is a dream in my window
stirring in the frost corner
there is a cloak of wonder
waiting on my door"

I am so visual, and I waited for the development but it didn't...

I agree with Gee he had enjoyed that other verse too.

More and more

I tend to fall into a visual cortex
have been watching much media
via the television
been examing graphic novels
in the Coles Bookstore in the mall
when I make it there so I can spray
myself with free testers
examine the fine clothes in stores
I can never afford

however I agree this is a leader
poem line work

small images
peaking like a drumstrike
and then falling off

like going out on a strange new
place and seeing all the streets
and chosing but one to follow

want to eventually get into media
one day
