Caftans
Butterfly wings
with many colours
and sparkles.
Floating.
So easy to wear.
Makes me feel
light hearted
and contented.
A recent addition
to my wardrobe,
a necessary one.
I have adapted
to the easy
breezy
piece of clothing.

About This Poem
Last Few Words: When I removed at least twenty-one pieces of clothing from my wardrobe, I passed by Kat's small kiosk at Camberwell Place, and thought why not a caftan? Thus, I have added two long length caftans and two mid-calf caftans to my wardrobe. In this very hot weather, so nice and easy to wear!

I love caftans...
they add to the mystery of a woman, sheer, but hiding the woman from prying eyes. Nicely done, I can appreciate how they make a woman feel. Enough was said and hinted at, just like the caftan. Well done. ~ Geezer.

I never thought of it as a mystery
I only began doing this with the caftans because I stacked on some weight. Then, I remembered my first outing as "Mrs" in the late seventies and the fantastic caftan I wore. But Geezer, it is an intriguing thought that wearing a caftan adds to my mystery. These ones were far more expensive than the ones I originally had in the seventies.

is more expensive due to inflation, and the merry-go-round of raising pay and raising prices. The shoemaker wants more money for his shoes, the butcher or farmer wants more money to pay for the shoes, and the circle is unbroken. ~ Geezer.
