Canciones/Songs [Spanish-English]
CANCIONES
Cántame una canción
de amor
para que se me olvide
mí dolor
cuéntame de tiempos pasados
para que viva
mis sueños engañados
SONGS
Sing me a song of love
so I may forget
my pain
tell me again
of times gone by
so I may live my dreams
of lies

How sad that the end should
How sad that the end should say just that,
because all cannot have been so,
some have loved whole heartedly I am sure.
But this is not necessarily you speaking
and it is a good poem, short and to the point.
We read the sounds of the Spanish/Portuguese
and are transported on the song, almost caught
in the English version, but not quite so romantic
sounding, of course.
My love to you Longobardolino, Anni.

It is a simple song, Some
It is a simple song, Some things are too harsh to be complicated with words.
Love to you, carissima Annuccia.

Joe
This seems more like a lament young Joe.
All love is good, it is yours to hold or let go that others lie about such things is not to be taken by you as a fault that you should carry.
No matter what lies you have encountered in this life of learning, it is the way you have dealt with it is the blessing to your soul.
That others lie is for them to answer to, I hope the wisdom of the years has given you the ability, to sort out the bits that are your responsibility.
Take care young Joe, and know that we walk with you on this path of learning,
Yours Ian.T

It is a lament. My life
It is a lament. My life circumstances are reflected in my poems. I am looking for a way. One of the worst periods of my life, I need to move back near family, but too many issues holding me here, totally isolated and immobile.
