Chamber Thoughts

I did not mean to think of you
after all these quiet days,
yet when embraced
by loneliness
I could not help
but ask you why
the door stays shut,
the curtains drawn
like nightfall's shades
and your picture still hangs up
on my wall.

The two comments from you and Kavita are but a confirmation that when you write your thoughts about someone special they pour out as wonderfully as you have done...thanks for posting..

Poignant!

beautifully done with tons of honest feelings.
I wonder how can anyone resist opening the champer's door after reading this
and the ending:
"and your picture still hangs up
on my wall"
works just perfect. :)
Bravo!!!
