Chrysalis

Changing,ever changing
Chrysalis is your name
who you were in the past
will not be who you remain

When did I start changing
when did I decide
the time had come to leave the past
and let that within abide

Changing,ever changing
emerge with wings anew
spread them wide
let them dry
from the tears that once were you

Hello, Chrys

This is a celebration! Somewhat bittersweet, but yet, a celebration! The past few poems I've read from you have seemed that you are indeed in a state of transition. I'm glad those wings are spreading out! The last line is so lovely...
Thank you!

Hopefully...

I am not last to the table with my comments. I know the name and the meaning behind it. I like this much. Indeed, we all change a little every day; I see the changes in yourself and applaud them. Love seeing you laugh and becoming the best you can be. This poem is proof. ~ Geezer.
