Don't ever fear
I love
it helps me to indoors remain
away from viruses domain

so do welcome
no disdain 'no pain
happy you must remain

now suddenly
she comes
lo and behold
it really does
patter patter
ha ha

pitter pitter
sweet no
bitter biter
no batter batter

I would guess...

that you are making the distiction of a downpouring, buckets kind of rain and a gentle lulling of a pitter-pattering shower. Nice job! ~ Geez.

Dear love, I love rain so

Dear love, I love rain so your poem attracted me at once. Oh...that patter and then the gentle pitter pitter!
Although a downpour, especially with lightenning and crashes of thunder, can be pretty scary. We have tremendous storms in Buenos Aires. Now we have a downpour here, but it's welcome in this dry Patagonian climate.
So you see how your poem brings back memories to me.
