The Coming Of The Night

What sung the crow to the dying sun,
As passed day unto night;
Beheld the moon as she begun
Her usurping of the light.
At silver light the raven calls,
A silence fills the halls.
No man can stir, no beast can bear,
The coming of night fall.

Hello WSG,

a tasty little morsel, this. A treat for the mind and heart! Good title, superb structure and content! My favorite lines are:

At silver light the raven calls,
A silence fills the halls.

loved it!

Will,

This is an excellent piece of written. But it seem to recall a poem or a part of an English play I read somewhere. I think that if a poem does that, takes me back to some great piece of writing, then that poem is written masterfully.
