Creation, A Sam Poem
The breath of God lifts fledglings over trees,
their tufty feathers fluffed and barely spread,
to play with parents darting on the breeze,
a healthy joy of life that dampens dread
A tabby cat enthralled by sounds of night
sees azure haze split by a lance of fire;
his furry face aglow with wild delight
and full-heart beating to an avian choir.
Survival of the fittest may belie
the innate love such creatures typify.

Watching sam
drink in the sounds of gloaming was a true eye opener to me. I had no idea animals had that kind of soul.

This is awesome
Mr. Logan. I was hoping for a sonnet from your pen, but I have enjoyed this and feel quite satisfied. Thanks for sharing.

Well then
I must dig into my sonnet repertoire and see what fairly fresh piece I can dig out. No gentleman ever wishes to be the means of disappointment for a lady.
PS: strictly speaking, lord or Lady is an accident of birth but a gentleman or gentlewoman are self made.

BTW, the language in this piece and the word choice, you know, the alliteration and so is really stunning!
My applause!
