One....

"all that mattered"

a beautiful comment Carrie...
I remember the romance of Poetry
sitting here full of the flurry of the fall..
sites and sounds...
exhausted and stressed
but happy

the mall and drank too much
coffee smoking too many cigarettes
and friends hands on my shoulders
the smiles
and the pretties walking past
with a smile for me now these days
unlike the other days
when I was improperly full
of tired uncaring look
or too hungry
and desparate
desparado

Listening to "War Paint" "Shadows"

tired and full of the muses praises
I ride the wave
knowing the empty promises
but to hell with that..

artists living on breadcrumbs
heartbeat starvation

my imaginations here
created where reality
is far from the truth

just as broken as any
of the faulted poets

but fairytales

......

funny what one hangs
onto to keep that joy of
light shinning
sometimes
