Days
Days we've lived
are days gone by
and one by one
they trickle down
the alley of our memories.
Flowing like a misty rain
that beads, then drips
into our hearts,
they pool into a puddle there
reflecting how we really live.
Moments turn to yesterdays,
memories shine, then start to fade.
Every day is one day more,
bundled into who we are.
Every life is meant to bring
sunlight to the misty rain.

Hello, Teddy
I think winter brings about these thoughts for me - that, and aging at a rapid pace. :) Thank you for your tender comments. I always look forward to sharing our poetry with one another.

Just lovely thoughts...
I enjoyed the comparison of life to a misty rain pooling into our hearts. My take on the last two lines:
Every day is one [bit] more, bundled into who we are.
Every life is meant to bring sunlight to the [dark].

Hi, Geezer
The thought of the days pooling like a puddle into our hearts was the initial birth of the poem. I'm so glad you like that part. Like your suggestions and will ponder on them! "Dark" actually has a rhyming sound and flow, and blends well with the sunlight.
Thank you, Geezer!
