Delphi
Pythia, Oracle of Delphi,
In morning glow I come to you,
Bearing the gift of my heart,
Through blazing words of poets and madmen,
Who have been touched by love,
You look away,
As rays of warmth surround us,
Then you speak,
"I wish not to be your lover,
As even a jeweled palace built on sand,
Will surely sink,"
Her words fall like stones,
Upon my fragile heart,
"I have foreseen our love and its end,
As you will lay dying in my arms,
By your own hand from my regretful affair."

The Pythia
I am very intrigued and admittedly ignorant. I’ve only tackled what Greek mythology I was assigned and I’m 25 years removed from that. Delphi being the temple to Apollo, whose priestess was the oracle. My guess is we are channeling some dark prophecies here. Some warning against would be lovers. Tales of impropriety and infidelity, fatal misunderstandings. Dark forebodings indeed.
The writing is excellent.
I must ask,are you ok? Is there some real life significance your writing about here? If so would you like to talk about it?
I love the fabric you wrap the bones of your poems in. It’s textured and colorful and comfortable.

The tone
In the poem sounds as love libation. The pinnacle of brilliance, creativity, and excellence, words with the utmost magnificence and beauty, great words with meanings, distinguished expressions, as long as the ink of your inexhaustible pen, for your pure soul, all respect and appreciation.
Excellent!
