Easter Sunday
We had a nice dinner Easter Sunday
it was the end of March and I drank again
a tad too much tryna numb my brain
and mistook champagne for lidocaine
consumed till I faint, woke up 1 am, I may
have slept over to April's thirst day
April's full of hope, like a hole is a shape,
Perhaps by 08:08 I'll be able to make
some effing pancakes
The whole family's coming for lunch
I'll be sober as a skunk, what can I say?
Pour poems written all over my very sore face
it's okay though, surely
I'm not the first lady to gorge on sorbet
They say
there's no such thing as a truly free meal
Agreed!
This feeling is the price I'm pain this weak

Hello there
I think this is a good lesson not to drink too much.
I am not sure what you wanted to say in the last line.
"I'm pain this weak"
May be aI'm in pain this week?" Or maybe I am not getting it right
Anyway, I enjoyed this one and I think many will get your massage.
Thank you for sharing.
