ELEGY (In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Maranan Cahimbing)

Death, you're a terrible thief! You have stealthily stolen and zoomed off to unknown destination.

What has Elizabeth Maranan Cahimbing done to you?
You're so wicked! Your nefarious act is so brutal.

Now she has abruptly passed on, what are your gains? You proud to demonstrate a silly power to maim and kill yet, you can't destroy her poetic creations.

Since you whipped her off have you taken her poetic pen to write?
Have you taken her administrative positions?

Because of your jealousy, envy of her literary awards and several positions -, you decided to set a snare against her. Now she has kicked the bucket.

Shame on you! Woe unto you, o you Death!
Look at you; you riff raff Death; who invited you?

You have caused a mayhem. Now the azure sky has a constant frown on its face. The sun's gone dim and the sky's turned black. And the bending row of stars fizzling out!

A monster just like you! Very horrible!
You're good-for- nothing!

You think you won? Is a lie! You're already a looser!
Elizabeth is alive! Her poetry is still speaking...

But one thing I will leave you with, Death, you'll never win all!
All the bards are angrily filling their poetic pen to rip you off!

This vacuum you have created in our midst
Shall be a curse unto you for ever and ever!

Elizabeth, go in peace, relax, sleep well, and wait for the final awakening unto eternal glory.

Adieu esteemed poetess!

I am going...

to assume that one of your colleagues, has passed away. It is always sad to see one in our midst, depart from this earth.
It seems like we are never really to let go of our loved ones. We would always like to ask for some more time. Your pacing is good, the theme is an age-old one, that many of us exploit time after time, and we try to barter for just a little more time.
I think that you should capitalize Death. After all, it is important! ~ Geez.

Yes!

Thanks for the correction. Theme ( ELEGY)?
A Philipino friend of mine. A very lovely poet who passed on yesterday due to diabetes and heart attach! She held many positions as administrator in different poetry groups on facebook. It's a great loss! She's a writer of romance. A very easy going woman.
Death be not proud!
