Falling Like Nine Pins

Falling like nine pins
Friends living like jolly good neighbours
with a daily
hi and bye
smiles

the weather is lovely
sunny
a bit cloudy
yet we smile at each

the sunset is as beautiful as before
hope to like it see, many more
but for the un-promised tomorrow
bye and hi till comes a new morn
a new day is born

the bell continues to toll daily
you are gone
last of the set of nine pins

sad we wil smile
no more

Love this!

I love the John Donne reference. Love the style. Love the message. Well done!

John Donne

is a poet. He wrote For Whom The Bell Tolls (No Man is an Island). The same poem that was inspiration to Metallica for their song For Whom The Bell Tolls. If you haven't yet read it, I definitely recommend giving it a read. :)

Here's the poem

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

Lovely

This is a wonderful piece, but I'm a little bit confused about the third line of the third stanza.
(Hope to of it see many more) I need a little light in here

Falling Like Nine Pins

Hi, Lovedly,
I picture a lovely group of friends sharing a lifetime together, and facing the circle of life. A little sad, but also very keen and respectful.
