Fear
Nothing is more beautiful
Than the sleeping face of a new born child
Nothing more innocent
Than a silent face that knows no sin
Nothing more pure
Than a mind not yet infected with hostile thoughts
Nothing more thrilling
Than the thought that we all started here
Nothing more fearful
Than the realization of how far away we have moved

Haunting
Very well done my friend. Contemplative and harrowing. How far removed from innocence indeed.

Innocence is so delightful yet often reminds us of how age and influences of the world changes us

This is deep
and so truthful! I have often said the only time we are perfect is when we are born. The innocence, the love and trust that comes from a baby until they start to grow and learn. We are so far removed it is frightening.

Thank you. Looking at a new born baby bring about all kinds of thoughts many are very happy ones but as we age we rapidly see how changes take place.

It is odd...
that when we have a temper tantrum, we say; grow up! Yet when we do grow up, we have all this stuff inside of us. How nice it would be, if we kept the innocence of babes! ~ Geezer.
