To Feel Alive
My heart beating a million miles a minute
Every pore releasing anxiety
Backing from the ledge slowly
My feet, feeling every blade of grass
Every rock, stick, and leaf
My knees, about to buckle
My breath, fluttering with the breeze
Every voice in my head, screaming
Running as if my feet shouldn't touch the ground
Then, there was nothing
Wind hitting my face
My hair flying behind me
The water below hits me like a brick
The pain quickly fades as a wave rushes over
A blue shimmer above me
The black abyss below me
Feeling the cold pressure surround me
My heart beating a million miles a minute
I can finally breathe
