Freedom To Express

When freedom to express feelings is denied,
interaction goes from polite to stalemate.
A spark of anger where calmness once reside
can be the first light of a burning hate.

If honoring others leads to being gunned down,
how can we expect a crystal-clear appreciation?
If we see others' views with an egoistic frown,
we will only cage our minds in limitation.

I say let those with different perception
be treated with all the respects that they deserve,
'else we open the doors to disintegration.
In tolerance, acceptance can still be the dish we serve.

S. 1 L3 you have a typo (calmness)
Also the last line is two beats more if you are looking for a smoother flow, but it's still ok with me as is.

I just can't help it. I'm missing the old neopoet where most of our friends are around and the workshops where we really interact and try to improve. I need to give the newpoets here a chance but I still need the old ones to be there for motivation. Fortunately, stan and rula are there. Jayne has been the one who inspire me most, followed by joe and when they are down, I'm kinda lost.

nah, the bestest poets are jayne and joe (at least in my personal opinion)
