Friends Forever

In the whisper of a gentle wind
I could hear your laughter,
the sweet echoes of old memories

As I stood by your grave, old friend
I touched your tombstone
and traced a finger over your name

In my heart, sadness still linger
but it will consume me never
as I live to face the future

But I will never forget you,
for we shared a bond together.
You and me, friends forever

A tear trickled down my cheek
I let it flow freely,
giving myself a moment to grieve

In a moment of silence
i started to pray
for me, for you, every single day

Until the day we meet again,
rest in peace, my friend
and wait for the time
when we'll be together,
once again...

you must have loved your

you must have loved your friend to pour out your heart this.

And yet in your sadness you find the light of laughter from memory's house.

”In the whisper of a gentle wind
I could hear your laughter,
the sweet echoes of old memories"

nice work capturing the cemetery background: Grave and Tombstone summed it up petty well.

“As I stood by your grave, old friend
I touched your tombstone
and traced a finger over your name"

I like the simplicity of your wording.
(condolences if I may add)

Hi WonderGolly

He was my best friend. He passed away on the 3rd of last month after years of struggling with leukemia. He was like a brother to me. Our families are very close as he used to be my late father's student in the religious classes. We also go to the same primary school and we used to walk to school together in the morning. I missed him dearly but life has to go on.

Thanks for the visit and the comment. See you around.
