A Goddess.

Vemeer, Cezanne, Canova,
And so, so many more
Have each depicted beauty yet,
Their works cannot compare
With my lady.

Each time I see her there is something new
As with any great work of art,
Some subtle nuance beckons me
That sets her far apart.

Apart From any painting that in marbled gallery hangs,
Apart from any sculpture cold and white,
My lady glows and stands above
Any man made work of art.

For she is not made of man,
Crafted I know not where,
In heaven's forge or hell's furnace,
Some workshops' fiery glare.

A work of art she’ll live forever,
Her image etched into my soul.
For eternity admirers
Will her loveliness extol.

Art of Beauty

Hello, Alex,
I feel the reverence. "...heaven's forge or hell's furnace..." really adds to her extreme beauty and mystery. This overflows with adoration. A goddess!
Very nice.
Thank you!

Hello L.

Thank you L. I was not too happy with the title. I like your description better "a Goddess". I may change the title, what do you think. Alex
