Gran's Diet

Sausages and chips,
sauces and dips,
thoughts of them
has me licking my lips
forgetting the hips

So I'm going to back away
as I remember
what my granny used to say
makes me smile
as I recall her sniggers
"little pickers, bigger knickers"

Have read several of your poems in fact all of them, that I haven't commented much is that I was waiting for a longish serious piece from you, as I sit here listening to Danny Boy and the lyrics are telling me a story would just love to here such a story from your pen, Yours Ian.T
