Halloween after Midnight!
Where have all
the kiddies gone
Off to the
freaking Mall
No more
trick-or-treating
It's all done
at the store
Mainly out
at Wal-mart
Thev've opened
all their doors
It once was
so exiciting
To see them
come in droves
Dressed in
frightening costumes
They would wrap
upon your door
Skeletons and
Goblins
In haunting
costume decor
Filling their
pillow cases
With candy
treats and more
Sometimes we'd
stay out all night
Returning three times
or more
We'd run the streets
we'd hoot and howl
Take bowls of candy
from peoples doors
Staying out
past midnight
We always made
a score!
About This Poem
Last Few Words: I can't really describe the way it made us feel. Some years we should have been sent to juvenile hall. The pranks we pulled , the games we played. We had fun and a bit of mischief and we always wanted more.

Dear Leslie,
I would be on my best behavior, as Norma would remind me that it was a "privilege, not a right!" that woman could take the fun out of anything! I like your holiday poem.

Halloween After Midnight
Hello, Leslie,
I didn't do all of this - but certainly SOME of it! :) Those were the days, such a fantastic and different life. Thanks for the endearing memories!
