Hannibal's Journey
Across the peaks of life I ride,
On mammoth's back, with strength and pride,
A tree saddle holds my fate secure,
Through valleys deep and mountains pure.
With every step, the world unfolds,
A tale of courage, to be told.
Beneath the sky of azure hue,
Onward we march, through morn and dew.
The mammoth's tusks, like ivory gleam,
Pierce through the mists of fears unseen.
His mighty trunk, a clarion call,
To face the trials, to stand tall.
Through snow-capped peaks and verdant plains,
We journey on, despite the pains.
The path is steep, the winds are cold,
Yet in his stride, I find my hold.
Each step a testament of strength,
We bridge the chasm's daunting length.
Together, beast and man unite,
To conquer day, to tame the night.
As shadows fade and dawn awakes,
The journey quells my heart's own aches.
For in this ride, I find my grace,
With mammoth's pace, my fears erase.
So let the mountains rise and soar,
With mammoth's might, we’ll reach the shore.
For in our bond, the world can see,
A testament to bravery.
Through life's great peaks, we'll stride anew,
On mammoth's back, with skies so blue.
A tree saddle, our steadfast guide,
Together, we shall turn the tide.

Hanibal's Journey
Hello, Mark,
A journey back in time. My curiosity in your title sent me google-ing. Is this referring to Hannibal's Crossing of the Alps? So intriguing, I feel like there is much here metaphorically, too.
Thank you!
