HUSH
awake the fear
scratching at the door
that thin sliver hall
light
the dusted carpet tired
outside the night is restless
an airport beacon turns
and runs its white tongue
upon the clouds
and the hydro transformer sizzles
in the damp mists falling
I can feel my soul
sitting in the chair
watching me as I toss
and I know the mirror
will play another role
the open mouth of the drain
will taunt me with its darling
sigh
another minute descending
and the mile long procession
these dream mourners
know well

hello
I can usually put my finger on why I like a poem But the reason for liking this one eludes me lol...................stan

Wow.
I'm with Stan, but will go one further. This "felt" like day three of a bad five day binge. The transformer and the drain. You are nothing if not original. wesley

Immense compilation
if I think I fail at writing I read these comments
and know that what I attempt to do has been
accomplished for this one day
Knowing that another day will follow
the accidental point
amazing
thank you for the great compliment
that will fuel me to write and continue
to strive for what this given gift I have
recieved allows me to do here
