Hustler's Plight
Happiness, a broken mirror.
Hope, a shattered dream to be.
Innocence lost forever,
as nightmare fed into reality.
Cruelty lurks behind closed doors,
A broken will shackled and caged,
an abused body left on the floor,
a beautiful life was shattered,
Since then, smiles and laughter
lose their authenticity,
enslaved to human-faced monsters
whose lust shackles me.
Can you see my silent tears,
the mental scars I've suffered,
wrapped in a cocoon of fear
while mortal demons feasted?
Will I ever be free again?
My faith is bleeding from my heart.
I'm drowning, going insane.
My soul is fading, breaking apart.
Look into my eyes
Can you hear my plea?
Let me die
or set me free!

thanks for the visit and the comment. The world should stop pretending slavery is dead because it is still very much alive. Sex slavery is just one example. there are others.

Well written and paints a great pic of the misuse of many,
this has been going on for centuries.
How can we stop it children are the main targets and suffer so, the law is so scared of its own shadow that under its shadow many are misused,
The last thing they have is hope and it to me is a negative word..
If all you have left is Hope,
then your existence becomes a futile dream,
We may as well go and sit in a cave and watch the shadows..

I suppose so. I want another word for prostitude and sex slave just don't sound right. Any suggestions?

If you look up Prostitute in the on line thesaurus, You will find many other names for the word, here are a few from the Collins dictionary:-
