I Lost The Instructions

I made the instructions redundant,
Disregarded the words so I’d solve
The abundance of lies that are told and
Pushed them to the back of my mind – resolved.

The instructions in question, it’s said
Were spoken by God and then written
I dismissed them, don’t miss them
The story bores me so I put them to bed, I’m now smitten.

I lost the instructions on purpose
And never follow the rules of the book
I boycott the writers, the priests – they deserve it
It was my task to make my own path, without instructions, I’ve passed.

About This Poem

Last Few Words: This poem was spawned from my resentment towards religion. The instructions are the words of the bible.

Dear Michael,

If I were talented enough, I could have written these words, for I am of the same beliefs! if you entered the contest, I wish you good luck. If you did not, then I advise you to do so, now!

*hugs, Cat

p.s.
the bible was mostly written by those who wanted to control the masses... it is all about power...
