I Wonder In Myself

I wonder in myself
why someone would say
I've followed Hillary's career
and all she did was help ppl;

I wonder in myself
why anyone would say
"all she did was help ppl
but, I suffrage Trump";

I wonder in myself
circumspected long and hard
about the pain ppl held tight
since the dawn of Reagan;

I wonder in myself
about the fired air traffic controllers
and sickos let out in the eighties
to fend for themselves;

I wonder in myself
about Clinton's low wage jobs and surplus,
the status of nineties welfare mothers
and daycare vouchers for the kids;

I wonder in myself
how eight years of the twenties
brought the middle class to its knees
develop two separate economies;

I wonder in myself
if this 2016 Election
would carry on the status quo
or give rise to fascist/communist party;

social democrasy

when countries fell from violence
they lobbed off the heads or did in the elite
when they fell from exhaustion of running
the show people just mobbed up
hit the gates said lets go...
Like the fall of the wall
U would think in the end that the party
members would have just opened
fire on everyone..but no....

could korea or china or russia run america
any better then americans..
I think not..

unions shut down many jobs and killed plants
helped the owners say
Easier to make Joe Fresh Great out of country
and people buy a decent made shirt
at quarter the cost...
no diff then years ago..clipper ships bringing
in everything from far off colonys
operated by wealthy and worked with slave
labor....and u just know then as now that kept
people alive..
despite conditions...

nothings perfect

but.....
its not hard to see people
want for someone to lead
them....

Yep

Leaders are imperfect and can't lead perfectly
So there's always gonna be ppl overlooked, left out, oppressed and uncared for

dear Barbara

those are some really great questions you are pondering! I wish more people had asked them of themselves before casting their vote! the only thing that bothered me was the use of "ppl" instead of spelling out "people". to me that belongs iin texts and not in poetry. that is just my opinion. have a great week!

If there are only two choices out of 230 plus million then the United States must do some soul searching.
I feel for you all out there but worry sometimes about the future.
I worry for my children not for me, the world needs stability.
The rich on one hand that looks after themselves, then on the other hand a self made man supported all his life by a rich system in your country.
Instead of building a wall to the south he should build Factories that allow workers in one side and goods out the other also at the same time there could be educational buildings for those from the south that need their children to have a more balanced future.
But I am an old silly man that knows nothing of building a nation that strengthen itself by helping others rather than lock them out..
Look after you and yours until you can see a better road ahead, Yours as always Ian..xx

my roots are from north america
ojibway but the grey eyes are from
scotland or north euro
maybe my ancestors helped sack
rome...Allepo was once beautiful
france had a hard time but they
didnt have the full machinery to
