Inside The Darkness

The smiles on painted faces be
the lies that fill the night.
The touch, the kisses and the words
an act of the slaves displayed
to bait the lust of men
who never wish to know
the pain of souls in endless rape.

and yet, there are consenting women in
the seducing dance of adultery,
who dishonor love in marriage to embrace,
the whims of their sinful hearts.
Do they believe the treachery they do
in the dark, is unknown to all
when no secrets are hidden from God?

Must the darkness be the hideous face of sin?
I tell you now that's not the truth.

For even in the dark, there can be light.
It can be blessed by prayers of the strays,
who seek the path of truth again.
It can be filled with love from a mother's caress
as she holds her child with care and smiles
with such pride that I've yet to know.

Inside the darkness there are seed of sins
and glory of love and light, unfold.
Its for us to choose the path to take
to define our souls in the journey of life.

Salam Khalid

I think I got what you wanted to say here, but I guess others might find some dificulties in understanding what the message really is, and that's why you haven't collected many comments.
I might be wrong though, hope others will come and say.

Salam, Rula

Apart from practising combination in meters, I wanted to say that the dakness is not always dark, but can be a blessing as well. Its a matter of choice. Thanks for the visit, the read and the comment. Ithink you might be right about difficulty in understanding the message there....hmmm

I think Alid, I have picked up the essence of your poem, so beautifully spilled in the concluding four lines...

Well done...
