Insomnia

ongoing internal conversations
cloud what reality is slowly
sinking out of me
night shrounded in thoughts
and thoughts
and overanalyzations
distracting the unconscious
from drifting into dreams
and crippling the day
upon wake

Hi there!

I could totally relate to this poem - as I suspect so could many others! I like the last two lines because they show that insomnia has a crippling effect upon waking - sometimes for a couple of days!

Yeh! I like it
